Medina

Medina

Medinas are the heart of Maghrebian cities where artisans
perpetuate ancestral manufacturing methods.

Zelliges – meaning polished stones, these Moroccan ceramics
are still handmade inside medinas.
Blue, brown, yellow or green, marquetry like azulejos form geometrical patterns to embellish mosques or paths.

The Bahia Palace, in the medina of Marrakech, was built by Ahmed Ben Moussa out of love for one of his wives. In the middle of the main patio, a tiled fountain symbolizes the eternal affection of the couple. Inspired by the strength and beauty of this tale, this subtle cat eye frame has been elaborated to unravel Bahia’s refinement.
